Amos Olson

Amos Olson started working with the CAN Program shortly after CAN was established in 1998, and has been involved ever since!  He used to work as a computer programmer for Marathon Oil Company, but when he had the opportunity to work with CAN he decided to dedicate his professional life to making sure the program succeeds.

As a full-time employee of Cody CAN, Amos does a lot of different things:

  • Designs, programs, and maintains CAN's computing environment
  • Designs, installs, and maintains CAN's equipment network
  • Designs and produces CAN's Trading Cards
  • Runs regular events such as classroom Dance Dance Revolution and game contests in the CHS CAN Lab
  • Photographs CAN events
  • Creates promotional materials such as posters, letters, radio spots, and brochures
  • Helps write CAN public correspondence such as newspaper/magazine articles
  • Helps ensure design quality on slideshows and newsletters created by CAN
  • Programs CAN's member management database, card login system, and other custom software
