Amos Olson started working with the CAN Program shortly after CAN was established in 1998, and has been involved ever since! He used to work as a computer programmer for Marathon Oil Company, but when he had the opportunity to work with CAN he decided to dedicate his professional life to making sure the program succeeds.
As a full-time employee of Cody CAN, Amos does a lot of different things:
- Designs, programs, and maintains CAN's computing environment
- Designs, installs, and maintains CAN's equipment network
- Designs and produces CAN's Trading Cards
- Runs regular events such as classroom Dance Dance Revolution and game contests in the CHS CAN Lab
- Photographs CAN events
- Creates promotional materials such as posters, letters, radio spots, and brochures
- Helps write CAN public correspondence such as newspaper/magazine articles
- Helps ensure design quality on slideshows and newsletters created by CAN
- Programs CAN's member management database, card login system, and other custom software
